Why would you integrate Web 2.0 tools in your classroom?
Should I completely redo everything I do to add Web 2.0 in my classroom?
NO, don't view technology or Web 2.0 as a replacement for what you do. The technology fit should make sense. Students can see when something is forced and unnatural. Start with something small with a lesson or unit that you know can be made better.
- Make units, lessons, or assessments that you do in class better
- Increase student engagement
- Model responsible and ethical behaviors using technology
- Increase the resources available to you
- One more tool to add to the toolbox
