What is Web 2.0?This is a featured page

So, what is Web 2.0? After you watch the 2 videos, you will see that a simple definition is not so simple. In part the 2.0 refers to a new generation of Internet use. Some see it as Internet use after the Internet bubble. It is much more than that. Most of the internet use initially was information streaming in one direction - from the Web to your computer. Now, with tools like Blogs, RSS, Wikis and Podcasts, information is flowing in many directions. A student can still research information on the internet, but now the student can also contribute information and help shape the Web. The students in some ways becomes part of the information web. Students can also become connected with other students. The web on the second video depicts this connectivity. This will become more lucid as you use the tools described in this Wiki. If you you come up with a simple definition, please let us know. Of course, with technology and the Internet, information and definitions seem to be less than static. The important thing is that U 2 can Web2.0. Don't let it intimidate you. Hopefully this Wiki will show you that it is easy to become part of it, and that at least parts of it can become part of your instruction. Good Luck!
